Scouting report: What Morris does not have in ideal athleticism, he makes up for in football intelligence and a downright mean attitude at the point of attack. In Hugh Freeze’s offense, an important quality in linemen is finishing their blocks and that is something that Morris emphasizes. He drives his opponent into the ground and does not stop there, something that makes any coach swoon with excitement. He’s a big prospect and could get even bigger. Morris is a 2013 US Army All-American and is one of the best run blockers you’ll see this year, but he will likely not be a factor until his sophomore or redshirt sophomore season.

Likelihood of signing with Ole Miss: He appears to be a firm Bruin commit and has a good relationship with coach Klemm out of UCLA. Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Ole Miss all appear to be getting interest from him, but have a lot of work to do. He admitted to Rivals’ Neal McCready that distance has started becoming a little bit of a factor, which gives the Rebels a fighting chance as he is just an hour from Oxford. Pairing that with the fact that his teammate Herbert Moore is a Rebel commit, gives the Rebels the second best chance at getting the big offensive tackle. Freeze wants to win Memphis, and getting Morris would go a long way towards that, I’d say that he has about a 10 percent chance of getting Morris into red and blue.
