Scouting report: Carr is a big, big prospect who is at a crossroads on what position he will play in college. He might need to lose weight to regain some speed if he is to become an end, and he will have to put on some weight to play the defensive tackle position in college. Either way, he has a great first step and gets into the backfield well. Reminiscing JJ Watt of the Houston Texans, his large reach and paws are ideal for knocking down passes when he is blocked. A very smart prospect, Carr will be easy to implement into whatever system he chooses. His tackling is elite and he has a relentless pursuit to the football. If he can get his body into shape for whichever position that he is chosen to play, he could be a very productive player.
Likelihood of signing with Ole Miss: Carr is a soft commit to the Vols after the firing of Derek Dooley, but was also recruited heavily by Butch Jones while he was at Cincinnati. There has been grumbling about his interest in Mississippi State and Vanderbilt, he has visited Ole Miss, and his high school coach speaks highly of his interest in Alabama. This commitment is far from over and I firmly believe that it is down to the Vols and the Rebels. A lot of people believe that with the commitment of Robert Nkemdiche, Carr will follow to compile a potential legendary class at the position. Personally I think that he will be a Vol, but I don’t count the Rebels out by any means. 40 percent Ole Miss
