Scouting report: He’s by no means a possession receiver, he’s a home run threat. He’s fast and plays longer than he is, and accelerates really well when he gets to the second level. It is easy to trust him when you throw it deep to him or when you throw him a jump ball. He has terrific hands, elite body control, and he catches the ball at it’s highest point. There are some concerns about run blocking because he is so thin, but his tools as a big play guy far exceed those concerns. He is the type of player who you might notice often, but he’ll wind up with 5 catches for 150 yards on the day. Dynamic player for wherever he winds up.
Likelihood of signing with Ole Miss: It is always hard to tell where he is interested in because many of the reports surrounding him are based off his fake Twitter account, then retracted. It is a good sign for Ole Miss that they are one of his three official visits so far, and he said that he likes to watch Ole Miss play. It appears to be a four team race for Coley, between Ole Miss and the Florida schools. I would not discount Texas Tech in all of this either as the excitement around Kingsbury’s hire along with their tendencies to put the ball in the air all game long seem very attractive to Coley. My guess is that he will be a Nole, but the possibility of playing beside Moncrief and maybe Laquon Treadwell could be a lot to pass up. He will make his decision on signing day so hold your breath, Rebels at 25 percent.
