Quincy Adeboyejo Becomes the 23rd Ole Miss Commitment

After decommitting from Texas A&M, wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo (Cedar Hill, Texas) become the subject of a Twitter assault from the likes of Ole Miss commits Devonte Kincade and Laquon Treadwell.

Kincade, a fellow Texan, took to Twitter to convince Adeboyejo to give Oxford one of his official visits. A quarterback, Kincade has good reason to do whatever he can  to get Adeboyejo to campus. Treadwell, widely considered the best wide receiver in the 2013 class, told his his 12,000+ followers that Ole Miss needed Adeboyejo opposite from him for the next few years. All of the hard work paid off as Adeboyejo committed to Ole Miss on Friday night.

The 6’3 175 Lb. receiver chose the Rebels less than three weeks after retracting his pledge to Kevin Sumlin. Originally slated to visit UCLA this weekend, he made a late change to the Rebels. He also took official visits to Nebraska, TCU, and Texas Tech, and sported offers from Auburn, Clemson, and West Virginia among others.

Adeboyejo is rated as a 4-star by Rivals and a 3-star by Scout, ESPN, and 247. He has sneaky speed for a guy his size and his athleticism is incredible. Built for the red zone, he could be a huge asset for Hugh Freeze o jump balls.

He joins Trey Bledsoe, Derrick Jones, Quadarias Mireles, and Treadwell as the fifth receiver commit for Ole Miss. He was the final remaining target at the position after the coaches halted their pusuit of Stacy Coley in leu of Adeboyejo.

Out of the 20 prospects in Oxford officially and unofficially, 13 are now committed to Ole Miss. The coaches and commits will now try to lure the other seven into the boat, as all are highly coveted. The five who are still uncommitted are DE Robert Nkemdiche, OT Laremy Tunsil, S Antonio Conner, TE AJ Jackson, and CB David Kamara. Freeze & Co. will look to flip the commitments of OT Dan Skipper who gave his verbal to Tennessee and Chris Jones, an unexpected surprise visitor who is currently a Mississippi State prospect.

Nkemdiche, Conner, Jackson, and Kamara are all considered to be Ole Miss leans, with Nkemdiche even telling the crowd at The Library that he will be a Rebel next season. There is still work to be done on Tunsil, Skipper, and Jones, but when you have Treadwell on your side, you can never be counted out for anyone.
