Chose Ole Miss over Alabama.

Conner also had offers from Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon, and Tennessee among others.

Committed to Ole Miss on Feb. 6, 2013.

Possible playing time in 2013: Conner is built to play the husky position. He will have to compete with the likes of Dehendret Collins for that spot, or Hugh Freeze might opt to move Cody Prewitt to husky and put Conner at safety. The writing is certainly on the wall for him to play a lot early, no matter where he plays. He might not start right away, but there will be a lot of PT for this safety come the fall.

Wrap-up: For the last four years there has been the same sentiment in Batesville, “Just wait ’til you see Antonio Conner.” Well, we have seen him and he will be an Ole Miss Rebel this fall. He has a large enough frame to become a linebacker at the next level, but his tremendous ability to track the ball in the air is too good to waste at linebacker. His physicality at the line of scrimmage is better than anyone in this class that I have witnessed on tape and he can jar the ball loose as well as anyone. An exceptional tackler, he explodes into the box and wraps up like a true mike linebacker. His speed and ball skills are ideal for a safety and his tackling and lateral quickness and power make him a quality linebacker prospect.
