Korvic Neat

Wide Receiver

Senior

5’9 166 Lbs.

Hallandale, Fla.

2012 Season: Shifty in space, Neat saw time at both slot receiver and punt returner. After recording 10 total catches in his first three seasons in Oxford, Neat caught 25 passes for 257 yards in 10 games. He also returned 16 punts for 82 yards including a long of 18 yards in the opener against Central Arkansas. He missed three games with a groin injury and also sat out in the spring due to injury.

Value: Neat improved drastically last year and finally found a spot for him to contribute. He will have to make an even bigger leap forward in 2013. Neat has had struggles holding on to the football and that will be his foremost area for improvement. The fact of the matter is that if he can stay healthy and can cut down on the fumbles then he can provide a big advantage on special teams. Neat was one of the hundreds of running backs who Houston Nutt promised would be the next Dexter McCluster. While he has never lived up to those lofty expectations, he has a good chance to make some big plays during his final season in a Rebel uniform.
