When we first heard this news, we even thought it was an April Fools prank. But, it is official.

March Madness just would not be complete without Marshall Henderson. Even though the Rebels did not make the postseason, Ole Miss’ star player will compete in the Final Four…sort of.

The senior guard, who completed his final collegiate season, will compete in the Final Four 3-Point Championship.

Henderson, who is now the SEC recorder holder of consecutive games with a 3-pointer, will attend the event for the first time in his career. It is Henderson’s best attribute to his game, and it will be exciting for all Rebel fans to see how well he does in the competition.

The event also consist of a slam dunk contest. Both events will be presented by State Farm and will be held at Moody Coliseum on the SMU campus in Dallas.

The State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships will be televised nationally on ESPN on Thursday night, April 3, from 8 pm-10 pm leading into Final Four weekend.
