Coach, you just should have seen that one coming.

On Tuesday morning, Mississippi State fans had their fair share of entertainment from a tweet posted by Coach Hugh Freeze on Twitter. Every morning, Freeze inspires players and fans with ritual “feel good” quote tweets. But on this morning, a tweet got Bulldog fans all riled up, and the responses were not anything less expected from that school beneath us.

Then came the responses. Most of them were by State fans targeting the fact of Ole Miss flipping recruits after they’ve committed to another school…

Then other’s criticized pertaining to Austin Golson’s possible transfer…

Even our sister site, Maroon And White Nation had something to say about the tweet. Once again, something that was expected from those guys over there.

I do not believe that Coach Hugh Freeze expected his tweet to backlash on him, and I am sure there was no football recruiting intent with the post, but I may have waited a few days before posting that one. Maybe even a month or two on down the road. Especially since we have fresh news of a possible transfer from one of our players. That tweet just didn’t go hand-in-hand with the recent events around the program.

Nevertheless, we still love our dear coach.

We also love his inspirational tweets.

And as always, to those delirious State fans who are currently thriving on attendance records due to having a below mediocre baseball team, a less impressive football team, and a horrible basketball team, we would like to say, “GTH”, and take your family reunion attendance records with you.

Hotty Toddy Y’all!
