Hotty Toddy Headlines: A New Commitment, Inventive Recruiting Mail, and More...

It’s been awhile, but we are bringing back daily links to keep you informed of all the latest Ole Miss news, general sports news, and even around the FanSided network news. We like giving everything to you at once, sometimes.

We start our headlines with Ole Miss landing another recruit for the 2015 recruiting class. According to VarsityPreps.com, Ole Miss picked up a commitment from Gulfport cornerback Jordus Smith, yesterday. Smith is a likely unknown, who has flown under the radar throughout his high school seasons. He is not listed for any  ratings  and is unranked by most recruiting services.

Jordus Smith is 6 foot and weighs in at 190 pounds. He is a Gulfport, Mississippi native. Smith recorded 31 tackles, four interceptions and nine pass break-ups in his junior year of high school. He joins nine other (including 3-star cornerback Ugo Amadi from Nashville) commitments for the Ole Miss Rebels’ 2015 recruiting class. 247Sports.com reports that Jordus Smith received an offer from Ole Miss after Saturday’s elite camp. He will likely be a sign-and-place recruit after first attending junior college.

That is pretty damn cool.

Yeah, State gets to host it first. Boo! The reasoning behind this is to prevent interruption for each school hosting the annual Egg Bowl.

AROUND THE FANSIDED NETWORK

Both Ole Miss and Mississippi State are projected to win 7.5 games.

Bob Stoops. Nick Saban. It’s a love/hate kind of relationship.

This kid looks to be staying in a lot of trouble this offseason. Looks as though many Dawg fans are ready for the boot.

Even after a year, the Hugh Freeze accusations of hiding recruiting violations are still brought up. State fans have a better chance of finding the missing cornerstone of the White House or the gold from Fort Knox. Keep searching fellas.
