After having a record-number of three players selected in the 1st round in 2016, expect more Ole Miss Rebels to go highly in the 2017 NFL Draft.

There will always be a demand for quarterbacks at the front end of the draft and Chad Kelly is already a hot name in early mocks for the 2017 NFL Draft. And then there’s Tony Conner, another five star prospect from the 2013 signing class, who missed out on the first round fun with his former teammates Laquon Treadwell, Robert Nkemdiche and Laremy Tunsil this April.

Though Conner has battled hampering injuries in each of the previous two seasons, his athleticism and versatility combine to make him a coveted prospect for defenses at the next level.

The current Rebel that pops up in more mocks than Kelly or Conner, however, is Marquis Haynes. Though he comes off the edge and hunts quarterbacks as a defensive end for Ole Miss, NFL teams covet him as an outside linebacker. It’s conceivable that he would be a terror on the edge in a 3-4 defensive scheme.

In this post we will take a look at where Kelly, Conner and Haynes stand in early forecasts for the 2017 NFL Draft and what draft experts think of each of the three. Also, we’ll look at a host of other current Rebels that are already on NFL radars and could work their way into the first round come next spring.
