Vaught Hemingway Stadium is starting to look really good. It is now the largest stadium in the state of Mississippi. VHS will now hold 64,038 people in it this fall. The new stadium gets debuted on September 10th against Wofford.

The Rebels have needed an update to the stadium for years, but with the dwindling success they had in ’00s, the University had to put it off. When Bjork was hired as AD, one of his first moves was a fundraising program called Forward Together.

Ole Miss recently announced that the Forward Together program raised $46.5 million dollars in the past fiscal year. A record for the University of Mississippi.

The construction team is currently adding the new MUSCO LED lights to the stadium.

The natural grass has been installed as well.

One of the more exciting things that has been added to the student section is the speaker system. The whole stadium is getting new speakers for the new DJ that will be at games.

Oxford Athletics has a different look all around. The basketball team has The Pavilion and the football team has the largest stadium in MS. These updates not only make the gameday experiences even better, but will help with recruiting.

Ole Miss fans everywhere should make a trip to the stadium this year to see the new updates in person. If it is as good as The Pavilion, it will be well worth it.
