Mississippi State lost to South Alabama on Saturday with a score of 21-20. But that is not what we are talking about, let us look at the fan response.

Fans everywhere have been given a voice with message boards and Twitter, and sometimes that yields some bad results. While a lot of teams have idiotic fans, it seems Mississippi State fans crawl out of the woodwork to defame the name of their rivals.

A loss is a loss, every team has experienced an embarrassing loss, and fans should learn how to deal with that. So how do you deal with it? Well, death threats and stupidity is not how to handle it.

One main example comes from the recently deleted Twitter account, @redassrebellion. The Twitter account was formed as a “troll” version of Red Cup Rebellion, the Ole Miss SBNation affiliate.

After the loss on Saturday, Red Ass had these things to say to Coach Freeze.

Freeze even took the time to retweet it and comment on the matter, offering his blessings to the “fan.”

Another deranged Bulldog fan on social media is @dawgomatic, who has deleted his account after the loss. Here is what he had to say about Freeze, which for some reason, seems to be the source of most of their anger.

Now why do the State fans hate Freeze for a loss that had absolutely nothing to do with Ole Miss or Freeze? Who knows. But does it surprise you?

Mississippi State message board, Elite Dawgs, weighed in after the game as well, calling for Coach Mullen’s head.

"That’s what pisses me off more than anything. Him smiling after every loss just screams “I don’t care.”Quit trying to hide your frustration if you have it. I want to actually see him get pissed and mad on the sideline. I don’t know maybe look like you care, Dan."

Not all State fans are that bad, and Stingray is the perfect example of an admirable State fan.

We should all learn to take a loss like Stingray does, with grace. Cheers to you, Steven.
