Ole Hotty Toddy sat down with Chris Jackson of Razorbackers to preview the upcoming Ole Miss/Arkansas game on Saturday.

Bret Bielema has had success against LSU and Ole Miss in his tenure at Arkansas. What is the reason for that and not against other teams in the league?

The back to back shut out can be attributed to then first year DC, Robb Smith, figuring out how to use his talented defense. As far as last year goes with OM there is nothing else to say but they got lucky. You can’t practice that 4th and 25 lateral.

Austin Allen has been pretty good this season. How does he compare to his older brother Brandon?

I’m probably one of the only people willing to say this but Austin is better. He’s far more clutch his first year starting  and he’s being clutch under pressure. That and he’s tougher. The hits he took against A&M and Bama while still getting up to do it again is incredible.

What matchup advantages does Arkansas have in this game against Ole Miss? Disadvantages?

None. Everything. I’m not being doom and glooom but the truth is OM is better on both sides. It doesn’t help that AR has been exposed in a big way. There’s no run game and there’s no protection for QB. Also, I’ve said it for three games straight, “Chad Kelly will go for 500 passing on us.” We have ZERO defense. It’s gonna be ugly for the Hogs.

How big of a win was last season’s double overtime game against Ole Miss for the Arkansas program?

The win last year was HUGE. Hog fans were waiting to turn that corner and start getting SEC wins and beating the team that beat Bama… it gives me chills thinking about it.

What is your prediction for the game?

My prediction is that AR never stood a chance this year anyway but coming off of Bama then playing OM is a recipe for beat down. I don’t see the luck of last year continuing this year. OM wins BIG 52-24.
