Ole Miss Defensive Line Coach, Chris Kiffin, Hired By FAU

Earlier this week it was announced that FAU had hired Lane Kiffin as their head coach, well now they have his brother, Chris on the staff as well.

Ole Miss defensive line coach Chris Kiffin has taken the defensive coordinator position at Florida Atlantic University.

He will follow his brother, Lane Kiffin, to the school. Lane and Chris have yet to work together.

A great promotion for one of the most likeable coaches at Ole Miss.

Chris Kiffin was one of the best recruiters for Ole Miss during his time at the school and the defensive line was always at the top of its game.

Losing Kiffin will hurt, but it gives new defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff the chance to hire his own defensive line coach.

Some of the early names that have been said to be candidates include former Alabama defensive line coach, Bo Davis.

It will be interesting if the school decides to go after Davis after he was let go by Alabama for NCAA violations.

Ole Miss will have to fill the position quickly if they wish to continue recruiting the position this year.

National Signing Day is right around the corner and Ole Miss still has multiple coaching vacancies left open.

Ole Miss will have to make the correct decisions, something that it appears that they have done so with this past coaching search.

Changes have been made at Ole Miss and the future is looking brighter than it was yesterday.

Kiffin is another former Ole Miss staffer to earn a promotion this year, after former Ole Miss LB coach Tom Allen was named the head coach at Indiana and former Ole Miss CB coach Wesley McGriff was named the defensive coordinator at Ole Miss.
