Ole Miss football, like the rest of the SEC, has grown just a little too used to seeing Bama on top in the SEC. It’s time for a change and there are good reasons why Bama will not win repeat as SEC Champion.

As Ole Miss football fans it is important to spread the love around the SEC. Of course, we all love the SEC cash cow in T-town. However, the value of the Bama dollar will drop dramatically this season and not for any one good reason. Yes there are a number of very good reasons why Bama is on the way out.

Without a doubt, Bama has been wearing the SEC and NCAA crowns for some time now and until now have been deserving. However, their reign is slowly winding down and will grind to halt this season within the SEC  West. We saw the winds of change blow strong when Nick Saban abruptly threw a more than competent OC out of T-town and put his faith in ‘Booger’. Ultimately Saban allowed himself to throw a National Championship to the ACC Champion Clemson Tigers.

Of course, to hear Bama fans tell it, Bama has always been good and they have about 40 NC’s to back it up. Honestly, they have so many even they can’t get the number straight. I’m sure they didn’t even really need or want last years natty. Besides most of them are just happy to know Lane Kiffin wouldn’t wind up as head coach in waiting. There’s really no good reason for Alabama not beating the Taters in the Nattty. However, there are five really good reasons why Bama will not be crowned SEC king this season. Let’s get started.
