Ole Miss Rebel News: Ole Hotty Toddy Takes On Stingray? Why Not?

Who could ever imagine the name Stingray would pop up in Ole Miss Rebel News? It was inevitably going to happen at some point and the time has come.

No I haven’t called out Stingray in Ole Miss Rebel News. Well, not yet anyway. Actually none of this was even any of OHT’s creation to begin with. Sure, at some point I would have surely mentioned him here and there. But why dedicate a headline to Stingray? Apparently he and OHT are in a media tourney bracket on twitter and it’s awesome! You don’t have to dare OHT twice.

The First Mississippi Media Bracket Challenge is the brainchild of Mississippi Gridiron’s Chris Brooks. The 64 team bracket is four divisions seeded numbers 1 thru 16. OHT is a No.15 seed and taking on No.2 seed within the FAN division. Seeding was based on the number of twitter followers each team has. Personally I love the idea of some competition among rival media.

Besides OHT’s matchup with Stingray there are some more really great media rivals paired up. Be sure to go check it out when you get a chance and vote. Chris put a lot of effort into this and did a great job of setting it up. Of course, you can catch more of Chris Brooks as he hosts ‘The Gridiron’ on ESPN Radio 105.9 The Zone. Chris is also the publisher of Mississippi Gridiron Magazine.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, by now you know who Stingray is. However just in case you don’t please let me will fill you in. Besides being the face of Miss State football The Stinger is also a huge radio and television personality.

Steven Ray is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and has a degree from the University of Alabama in Sports Broadcasting. Of course, he is a ‘regular’ on the Paul Finebaum Show and has his own radio show. The Stingray Show which comes from ‘Stingrays Lair’ is quite the rave among the Miss State fan-base.

Stingray can be loud even without ringing his cowbell of day. Of course, he claims he is the Miss State Superfan and as far as twitter results go he is a huge hit. The Stinger has almost 25K followers on the social media giant.

OHT Bracket Campaign

Being a No.15 seed shows we obviously need help to take down the competition from our followers on twitter. Surely, there is someway to convince OHT twitter followers to vote against Stingray so OHT can advance?

Of course, the only thing I can possibly think of is to give you my least favorite Stingray video and allow you to decide for yourself.
