2013 depth at running back: Peyton Barber (commit), Mark Dodson Jr. (commit), Eugene Brazley (commit), I’Tavius Mathers (So.), Jaylen Walton (So.), Nic Parker (Jr.), Jeff Scott (Sr.)
Scouting report: Green is a very coachable kid, with a good attitude, and solid work ethic. He’s big at 220 and unlike the other backs on this list (Elder, Moore, and Shumpert), he is an every-down back and is not neccessarily the home run type. Think less Reggie Bush at USC and more Cedric Benson at Texas. His feet keep moving and he is a strong runner through the middle. ESPN has him listed as running a 4.31 40, something that is not evident in his film, but if true, he is unstoppable. Big guy, great footwork, quick instincts, and elusive for his size.
Likelihood of signing with Ole Miss: It is a six team race for Green between Tennessee, Michigan, Auburn, Ole Miss, Miami (Fl), and Oregon. He has visited the first three and it appears as though he will visit Miami. That leaves the final visit between Ole Miss and Oregon, but there is still the possibility of other teams jumping into the mix. Auburn appears to be fading away after the coaching change, but Tennessee remains very alive. Michigan is the clear cut favorite right now and it would be shocking to see him land elsewhere. The decision is likely to come on signing day, but don’t be surprised if it is earlier. Ole Miss with a 5 percent chance.
