Marshall Henderson once again made a memorable GIF moment during the 2013 SEC Tournament Championship game against Florida. With 7:12 left in the game, Ole Miss lead the highly ranked Florida Gators 59-52. Henderson would single a Rebel celebration in a different kind of way after a big score. Henderson would taunt around the court by demonstrating the familiar “Gator Chomp”, a taunt used by Florida fans during games, similar to the Atlanta Braves’ “Arm Chop”.

The Rebels would go on to beat Flordia, giving the Rebels their first SEC basketball championship in over 30 years, and sending the team to it’s first NCAA Tournament berth in over a decade. Much like the Auburn taunt, to me it was an expression to the rest of the NCAA that we were not just “Ole Miss”. A week later, they would prove just that when they would beat #5 seed Wisconsin in the 1st round of the NCAA Tournament.

Rebel fans, including myself will miss Marshall Henderson. In just two years on the squad, Henderson brought fear in the SEC of Ole Miss. He help lead the team to a conference championship and a run in the NCAA Tournament. Yes, the 2014 season was cut short, but as for Marshall Henderson, the Rebel Nation could not ask for anything more from him. Good luck to Henderson in his upcoming future, and quest to be selected in the NBA.

WE WILL MISS YOU MARSHALL!!!
