Branden Wenzel, the on campus recruiting coordinator for football, posted the famous picture of Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze holding the large mouth bass. You knew it was coming. You just didn’t know who. Now you do.

The Rebels landed a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Tre Nixon this afternoon, as a great WR core just added more punch.

With the departure of Laquon Treadwell to the NFL Draft and Senior Bowl participant Cody Core, Ole Miss wanted to add to a loaded group. It will get a speedster in Nixon. The fourth best WR in the state of Florida according to Scout.com, Nixon caught 74-passes for 1224-yards and hauled in 18 touchdowns. The Viera, Fla. native was second in the state in total yards, per Max Preps.
