Big news was announced today on Head to Head radio, a sports talk show that airs from 3 pm-6-pm on Supertalk Mississippi. Jim Ross, known for his wrestling prowess and spot on analysis for WWE inc., will appear on Head to Head next Wednesday March 2nd.

Ryno Montgomery, the producer of the show, made the confirmation today.

Ross, who now travels the country speaking, hosting an award winning podcast for Podcast One and promoting his Bar-B-Q sauce line, will be on around the 4:00 hour, per Montgomery.

Ross also currently works for Fox Sports, where he writes commentary on professional wrestling for Foxsports.com and occasionally does play-by-play for boxing and mixed martial arts. He is the lead announcer for New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV.

Ross was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. He is known affectionately as “Good ol’ JR” and widely regarded as the voice of the WWE. Outside of professional wrestling, Ross has developed his own brand of barbecue sauces.

Ross cites Gordon Solie as the most important influence on his announcing career, per Wikipedia.
