Headlined by Ole Miss Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze and Athletics Director Ross Bjork, the BancorpSouth Rebel Road Trip (#RRT16) will feature 12 fan meetings across the region beginning Sunday, April 17, in Atlanta at the College Football Hall of Fame. Chancellor Jeffrey Vitter and other Rebel coaches will also speak at select stops.

This year’s caravan reaches four states and three new destinations including Mobile, Ripley and Cleveland, Miss. Other stops from April 17-22 include Gulfport, Meridian, West Point, Corinth, Tupelo and Oxford. Meetings for Jackson and Memphis will be held in July.

“I am very excited about the stops on this year’s tour and the opportunity to meet alumni and Rebel fans,” said newly announced Ole Miss Alumni Association Executive Director Kirk Purdom (BA 93). “I’ve had this week penciled in on my calendar since I was named the new director. I’m thrilled to be joining Ross and Coach Freeze, Chancellor Vitter and other Ole Miss coaches and administrators on the trip. Rebel Road Trip is full of great stops again this year, and I look forward to representing the Alumni Association.”

In addition to the speakers, the meetings include autograph lines, photo booths, official merchandise, football posters, an exciting video look at the university and information tables for the Athletics Foundation and the Alumni Association. There will also be photo opportunities with the Egg Bowl, Magnolia Bowl and Sugar Bowl trophies.

“My memories from our first Rebel Road Trip in 2012 are still fresh in my memory bank and continue to provide my point of reference for the passion that exists among the Ole Miss family,” said Bjork. “As we approach our fifth Road Trip, that same energy continues to permeate and propels all the momentum that surrounds the University and our athletics program. I cannot wait to get out and thank everyone for their support and love for Ole Miss. Rebel Nation, here we come!”

In its first four years, the BancorpSouth Rebel Road Trip has visited 32 different markets and more than 15,000 fans. The tour has touched seven states and such major metropolitan cities as Birmingham, Dallas, Houston, Little Rock, Nashville and New Orleans, among others.
