DJ Jones

DJ Jones is not as underrated by CBSsports.com as Brown, he’s considered the #15 senior defensive tackle, he’s still greatly undervalued. However, it is understandable that Jones would be under ranked. He will need a big senior season to create draft buzz, but he won’t need to be productive to be a high pick. His strength is nearly unmatched across all of college football.

Last season was just his first in Oxford after making his way over from East Mississippi Community College. He was mostly a reserve behind Woody Hamilton and Robert Nkemdiche. But he made the most of increased reps as the season went on and grew more comfortable down the stretch.

If he picks up in 2016 where he left off last season he is sure to be a dominating force. Playing alongside another talented player like Breeland Speaks will ensure that he faces very few double teams, as well. All in all, Jones’s draft stock is likely to be on the up and up from the first snap he takes in 2016 against Florida State.

Interestingly enough, when the Rebels take on the Seminoles in their season opener, it should provide a bit of familiarity for Jones. He was committed to Jimbo Fisher and the Noles before signing with Ole miss.
