Ole Miss football recruiting is alive and well. Here is our weekly recruiting rewind.

Every Sunday starting today, I will start posting a “Weekly Recruiting Rewind” to compile all of the past week’s recruiting information into one place. The information will include current commits, kid’s top groups that include Ole Miss, decision dates, and other random notes.

  • 4-star (SC) DB Davondre Robinson put Ole Miss in his top 10
  • 4-star (Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, MS) DE Isaiah Buggs has Ole Miss in his top 8. I expect it to be between OM, Bama, and LSU.
  • 5-star (Clinton, MS) RB Cam Akers has Ole Miss in his top 10. He plans on cutting that down to 4 teams by summer’s end. Absent from the list is MSU.
  • 4-star (Plant, FL) ATH Juwan Burgess put Ole Miss in his top 10
  • 5-star (TN) WR Tee Higgins has Ole Miss in his top 10
  • 4-star (TN) RB Ty Chandler put Ole Miss in his top 8
  • 3-star (Aliceville, AL) DB Jamar Richardson plans on announcing his college decision after his 5th game against Pickens County on 9/23.
  • 3-star LB commit Josh Clarke tells me he plans on recruiting 4-star (LA) CB Brad Stewart, 4-star (LA) S Todd Harris, and 4-star (TN) LB Jacob Phillips, specifically, to Ole Miss.
  • LB commits Willie Gay and Josh Clarke have put on their recruiting hats for the Rebels and have taken leadership of the current commits. These two guys are friends with a lot of big-time recruits and it is really starting to help Ole Miss.
  • 3-star QB commit Alex Faniel, who is polynesian, tells me he plans on helping recruit players. Specifically, he’s targeting players like 4-star OT Chuck Filiaga and 4-star DT Jay Tufele to help join the “Poly Pipeline” the caches are trying to establish. Rommel Mageo and Alex Faniel are the current Polynesians that are either committed or on the roster currently.
