Ole Miss recruiting has been pretty steady so far this year, and the Rebels could be adding even more highly ranked recruits later on.

More from Football Recruiting

4-star Louisiana Safety Todd Harris is expected to announce in 2-3 weeks. Has Ole Miss and LSU as his top 2 schools currently. As I said last week, if Alabama offers, that will make a top 3.

LSU added a 4-star safety at the Opening this week and that may have an effect on Todd as he has told me his number 1 priority is playing time.

A prospect committed to another school is seriously contemplating flipping to Ole Miss. That’s all the information I’m allowed to give at this time.

Cam Akers was named as a 5-star on yet another site as 247 sports bumps him up after just 1 day at The Opening.

Hugh Freeze recently followed 3-star QB Myles Brennan again on twitter so take that for whatever you think that’s worth.

All-Pro offensive tackle Trent Williams was enamored with 4-star OT Walker Little this week at The Opening. Sung his praises all week-long. If you remember, Walker has two siblings at Ole Miss currently and has taken over a dozen trips to Oxford.

I believe it will come down between Ole Miss and Texas but keep an eye out for Alabama as well. Walker also made the top 5 offensive linemen list at The Opening this week. Greg Little made it last year.

5-star DT target (teammates with Walker Little) Marvin Wilson was named defensive line MVP this week at The Opening. In a week where the offensive linemen won almost every rep, Marvin stood out as just about the only guy who could consistently beat the offensive linemen. LSU and Texas are major threats to Ole Miss for Marvin with LSU expected to be the leader.

Once again, CJ Avery is expected to commit somewhere later this summer.

On twitter, I mentioned Ole Miss could add up to 3 commitments before the summer ends.  will update if I see another possible or if that number goes down.
