Texas A&M Aggies

The Aggies are looking to take Kevin Sumlin off of the hot seat this season. With transfer QB Trevor Knight coming in, the Aggies are looking for revenge in the SEC.

Randy –

The Aggies are going to be one of the more underrated teams in the SEC. Trevor Knight and crew should be a fun offense to watch this season. With Myles Garrett leading the defense, the Aggies should be a solid team.

Prediction: 8-4; fourth in the SEC West.

I have A&M losing to Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU. But watch for UCLA, they could give A&M a scare.

Kevin –

Coach Kevin Sumlin’s off-season has been busy. Transfer quarterback Trevor Knight will be leading the Aggies on the field. They have a tough opening game against UCLA and they have to face Tennessee. Aggies will be good. But they have a long road ahead.

Prediction: 8-4; fourth in the SEC West

Tucker –

A&M looked terrible down the stretch last year, but return just about everyone outside of their quarterback. However, Trevor Knight, who was very solid at Oklahoma, transferred in and that position looks shored up.

Other than QB, the worst position for them was offensive line. They lost Cedric Ogbuehi to the draft but I think they may be better on the offensive line because David Turner came back to coach them.

He was the one who recruited and developed their 4 first round offensive linemen: Cedric Ogbuehi, Matt Joeckell, Jake Matthews, and Germain Ifedi. They will be better, but not good enough to be higher than LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss.

Prediction: 7-5; fourth in the SEC West

Tyler –

The Aggies go through quarterbacks like they are going out of style. Trevor Knight takes over the Texas A&M quarterback position after several very talented quarterbacks had tried their hand at the position with no luck.

Every year it seems the Aggies have found their next quarterback but it never seems to work out. Texas A&M has the 2nd most talented WR’s in the conference only behind the Ole Miss WR corp.

If Knight could live up to the expectations look for Myles Garret and the Texas A&M defense to be improved enough to hold opponents under what the Aggies offense score. Texas A&M biggest problem is they have to play Ole Miss, Alabama, LSU,  and Tennessee.

The good news is that they get Ole Miss, LSU and Tennessee at home. If they could find a way to win at least 2 of those 3 games and not lose the ones they’re supposed to win, you could see the Aggies challenge for the west.

Prediction: 8-4; fourth in the SEC West
