Chris Coghlan – LF – Chicago Cubs

Coghlan is another MLBReb on the disabled list, but this one is a 15-day DL stint. Coghlan suffered a rib injury on July 3rd and has been on the DL since. He is on a rehab assignment for the Cubs AA affiliate the Tennessee Smokies.

While with the Smokies, Coghlan is 4-for-12 with 4 RBI’s.

Coghlan began the season with the Oakland A’s after the Cubs traded him to the Athletics in February. The Cubs made a move to acquire the outfielder in June.

The Cubs are looking to replace Kyle Schwarber who went down with a leg injury early in the year. Coghlan will be in the middle of a playoff battle this season.

Expect to see Coghlan playing deep into October this season.
