Drew Pomeranz – LHP – Boston Red Sox

Pomeranz started the season with the San Diego Padres and was on fire for the ‘Dres. The pitcher made the All-Star game this season, which was hosted in his home stadium in San Diego.

Soon after the All-Star game, Pomeranz was traded to the Red Sox for a prized prospect. In Pom’s two starts for the Sox, he is 0-1 and has pitched 9 innings. He allowed 5 earned runs to the Giants in his first start in Fenway, but allowed only 2 against the Tigers recently.

Pomeranz is in the middle of a playoff battle for the AL East. The Sox are currently 3rd in the AL East, but are currently in the position to earn the 2nd AL Wild Card. Pomeranz should get some playoff experience in Boston.
