The recruiting landscape is constantly evolving, so every week, I come out with a rewind of the week’s events to keep the readers up-to-date.

The Todd Harris announcement was weird and I feel like more happened behind the scenes. I was initially told it was between Ole Miss and LSU but that was recanted by my source. I now believe that 5-star Jacoby Stevens and 4-star Todd Harris are both being targeted by Alabama for only one safety position. This means that if Stevens chooses Alabama, then Todd would choose between Ole Miss and LSU but if Jacoby chooses LSU, I believe that Todd would announce for Alabama.
4-star Kam White from Clinton, MS, chose to commit to Iowa State over reported offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, MSU, and more. I don’t believe that the Alabama offer is committable but that is not the case for the rest of his offers. Keep an eye on him until signing day, though. I have a feeling his recruitment isn’t over.
Ole Miss officially offered Brooklyn, NY DT Romello Martin.
Ole Miss officially offered The Opening alum and 4-star DE Hunter Echols (CA)
Former Rebel DE/LB CJ Johnson was added to the coaching staff at East MS CC. Look for Ole Miss to utilize that and start placing guys there more often. Could also help with recruiting there. Ole Miss currently has two commits from EMCC in Jay Johnson and Rasool Clemons.
5-star Walker Little was accepted into Stanford. I still consider it to be between Ole Miss, Stanford, Texas, and Alabama.
Ole Miss officially offers 3-star WR Racey McMath (LA). He is a top target of Mississippi State’s and holds an LSU offer, although it seems they are slow-playing him. MSU seems to be on top with him. He is 6’3 200 pounds and runs a 4.4.
Ole Miss officially offers WR Justin Marshall (GA).
Coaches are now allowed to like, favorite, retweet, and republish recruits. They can also subtweet recruits as soon as a minute after retweeting them. Subtweeting is tweeting about them without mentioning them by name.
4-star DL LaBryan Ray of James Clemens, AL puts Ole Miss in his top 6. Very big target.
4-star RB target, Ty Chandler visited Ole Miss unofficially this past weekend.
5-star 2018 DE and “The Opening” alum Xavier Thomas received an Ole Miss offer.
4-star CJ Avery put Ole Miss in his top 5 along with MSU, FSU, Clemson, and Louisville.
Top 2018 QB target, Allan Walters made the ESPN Top 300. He is a 4-star prospect from Peddie (NJ) and has Ole Miss as his leader over Florida and Alabama.
4-star CB Terrell Bailey (LA) visits this weekend and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him commit. That isn’t me predicting he will, but I have been told he is very high on Ole Miss and he knows all of the spots are closing up in our secondary—specifically at CB. Keep an eye on him.
Willie Gay held up the Landshark fin in his Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen pictures. These were taken after the Big Dawg camp debacle and parallels with me saying he is still very solid to Ole Miss despite all of that. He continues to recruit for us along with Josh Clarke.
4-star Brad Stewart of LA is announcing on August 17th. Ole Miss is in his top group but I am not expecting him to join the Rebels.
Once again, still full-go for the blue chip defensive player to flip from a big time school. Just waiting on some SAT results.
