Ole Miss has had a variety of running backs this millennial with different styles. We have had the big power backs that can force their way through a line. We’ve also had speedy running backs that could turn a small opening into a 75 yard touchdown run.

Running Backs

First Team:

Deuce McAllister

If anyone debates you on whether Deuce McAllister belongs on this list, they are simply looking for a fight. Deuce is clearly the best running back that has ever played for Ole Miss this century, if not ever. He was a rare combination of power and speed. He rushed for over 3,000 yards and 36 touchdown. He is Ole Miss’ all-time leader in all-purpose yards. There hasn’t been another Rebel running back like Deuce McAllister.

Jeff Scott

Before I get any bad comments about this selection, let me say a couple of things.

  1. I know there is another name you are expecting but I have a separate category for him later.
  2. This is my list and l like what Jeff Scott did for the Rebels.

Jeff Scott’s 75 yard game winning touchdown run against Vanderbilt in 2013 still remains one of my all-time favorite plays. Plus it started the season off on the right foot. Scott’s quickness made him dangerous every time he got the football. His career yards are just under 2,300. You can never underestimate a game changer.

Second team:

Brandon Bolden

BenJarvus Green-Ellis
