2. LSU

If you ask any Ole Miss fan that grew up watching football in the 1950’s and 60’s, LSU would be number one on this list. However, I think things have changed. Ole Miss and LSU were competing against each other for SEC and national titles back then.

I think fans on the bayou have much of their hate directed towards Tuscaloosa now. Make no mistake, this is still one of college football’s best rivalries. No matter how bad Ole Miss seemingly is in the past, they give LSU all they want and more, especially in Death Valley.

2003 LSU 17, Ole Miss 14

2009 Ole Miss 25, LSU 23

Reason for the hate: The hatred in this rivalry has been going on for decades. However, the boiling point was probably the Billy Cannon run on Halloween night in 1959. The play ruined Ole Miss’ chance for a perfect season and undisputed national championship. The run also helped Billy Cannon win the Heisman Trophy that season.

In modern-day, the 2003 game causes a ton of frustration for Ole Miss fans. The Rebels were 7-0 in the SEC and were trying to go to the SEC Championship game for the first time ever. However, the Tigers won 17-14 and went on to win the national championship.
