1. Mississippi State

Losing the Egg Bowl sucks, especially for fans that live in the Magnolia State and have to live with the other fan base 365 days a year. If you win, you have a smile on your face all year, lose and you can’t wait for another opportunity to redeem yourself.

The rivalry has only intensified recently as both programs have elevated their level of play to where the game now has meaning on a conference and national scale.

Most Memorable Games: 1997 Ole Miss 15, MSU 14

2013 MSU 17, Ole Miss 10

2014 Ole Miss 31, MSU 17

Reason for the hate: This is pretty obvious. Two schools in the same conference in the same division battle each other for recruits, state superiority and the Golden Egg Trophy. There is no love lost on either side. The fans absolutely despise each other. Hate is a strong word but it is applicable when talking about the Egg Bowl rivalry.
