Leonard McCoy – Chief Medical Officer on the USS Enterprise
Star Trek is a pop culture phenomenon, especially with the revival of the series with the new movies directed by J.J. Abrams.
The original series aired back in 1966-69 and featured WIlliam Shatner as Captain Kirk. DeForest Kelley played Leonard “Bones” McCoy, the ship’s doctor. As stated in the scene above, McCoy was a student at Ole Miss.
McCoy has been revived by Karl Urban in the new films, so the Ole Miss alum is still roaming the galaxy as we speak.
