10. Memphis Tigers | Threat Level: Low
I know what most of you are thinking, he is crazy if he underestimates Memphis again. Well, the Tigers are under new management and don’t have the talented quarterback to go with it.
The Tigers head coach Justin Fuente took the Virginia Tech job this past offseason, leaving the Tigers scrambling for a new coach. The Tigers hired Mike Norvell, the Arizona State offensive coordinator.
Memphis is trying to replace first round NFL draft pick Paxton Lynch at the quarterback position this season. Brady Davis, a familiar name to some Ole Miss fans, should get the nod for the Tigers. Davis, a Starkville HS alum, is ready to play for the Tigers.
The Tigers return 7 on offense and 8 on defense, including Genard Avery. Norvell brought a new defensive coordinator along with him, bringing Chris Ball with him from ASU.
The Rebels should easily win this game, but the Tigers will be back for blood with the hopes of winning a second straight game over the Rebels.
