Ranking the 2016 Ole Miss Football Schedule by Threat Level
By Randy Morgan
7.Arkansas Razorbacks | Threat Level: Medium
The Razorbacks have been a thorn in the side of Ole Miss in the past. The Razorbacks defeated the Rebels last season in dramatic passion and kept the Rebels from winning the SEC in my opinion.
This game is tough due to the fact it is in Fayetteville. Has anyone ever seen the sun shine in Fayetteville? It is always so wet and down in Arkansas.
I am not impressed with the team that Arkansas is bringing into this season. Brandon Allen is gone and his brother Austin Allen is taking over the QB duties. Rawleigh Williams III will take over the running back duties for the Razorbacks.
Arkansas had one of the most efficient offenses in the country last season, with a OEI of 1.24, which is 5th best in the country.
On defense, the Razorbacks were below average last season. Their DEI was -.34, which was 91st in the country.
If the Rebels can stop the Razorback offense, they should win this game, but they will have to learn to win in Fayetteville.
Arkansas can beat Ole Miss by stopping the Rebel offense and scoring on their defense, which is something the team looks like they’re going to struggle with this season.
