4. Secondary

The secondary was thought to be one of the strengths of the team going into last year. However, that all changed after safety Tony Conner had a knee injury during the Alabama game and wasn’t the same the rest of the year. Ole Miss got burned through the air in all of their losses (Florida, Memphis, and Arkansas).

This year, the secondary looks to improve with cornerbacks Ken Webster and Tony Bridges returning. A healthy Conner and freshman Myles Hartsfield should see a lot of snaps at safety. True freshman Deontay Anderson could see a lot of playing time as well as Zedrick Woods, who helped fill Conner’s void last year.

I believe this position group could hold the key to just how good the Ole Miss defense will be in 2016. If they are dominant, it will spell great things for the Rebels.
