Ole Miss Football: Ranking the Position Groups
By Drew Moak
1. Quarterback
This wasn’t too tough of a decision, especially when there is a debate on him being the best Ole Miss quarterback ever. Not only that, he is arguably a top 5 college quarterback going into this season. This was the big question mark going into last season, but Hugh Freeze and staff have never felt more comfortable about it in their five years in Oxford.
Not only is the starting quarterback very good for the Rebels, but the backup is a five-star freshman in Shea Patterson. I believe Kelly will be allowed to take more risks in the running game due to the presence of Patterson.
It will be exciting for Rebel fans to feel confident in both the current Rebel quarterback and the future one too.
