The owner of multiple Ole Miss receiving records, Shay Hodge was a perfect receiver for the late Coach O and early Nutt years. Hodge still owns the career yardage record at Ole Miss with 2,646 career receiving yards.

The most memorable Hodge moment for Rebel fans would be the game against Florida he had. With only 3 receptions, Hodge had 133 yards, including a 86-yard reception for a touchdown.

Hodge also holds the second most receiving yards in a season, behind Laquon Treadwell’s 2015 season.

Shay tried his hand in the NFL, but never made a start in a regular season game.

Hodge would have been a national award winner in the Hugh Freeze offense with a quarterback such as Chad Kelly or Bo Wallace. But with Jevan Snead throwing the majority of your career, your numbers suffer.

Even with the Houston Nutt offense, Hodge still made a name for himself as a Rebel great.
