OleHottyToddy Staff Makes Their Week One Predictions

The staff at OleHottyToddy is ready for football. Here is who we think will win in week one.

Football season is here, and with that comes pick ’em. Most predictions are wrong, but it can be something fun to do. So we at OleHottyToddy thought we would give it a try.

This week’s pick ’em will include all 13 games featuring SEC teams, and one “national game of the week” outside the SEC.

Our pickers from OleHottyToddy are Randy Morgan (@RebelNutt18), Drew Moak (@MoakDrew), Kevin Williams (@klkl2001), and Tucker Italiano (@T_Italiano_OHT).

Each week will also feature a guest picker. This weeks guest is Matt Barnthouse (@MattBarnthouse). Barnthouse is a manager on the Ole Miss basketball team, and for some reason, we thought that might translate into football pick ’em prowess.

So without further ado, here are our picks.

As you can see, we mostly agreed on this weeks games. Kevin originally picked Louisiana Tech to defeat Arkansas, but due to the peer pressure that Tucker put on him, he switched to the Hogs.

When asked why he thinks Texas will beat Notre Dame, Kevin says “I think Texas brings back experience and Notre Dame is unsure at QB while playing on the road.”

After flipping back and forth on my Ole Miss-FSU prediction, I finally went for the emotionally stable route. If Ole Miss wins, I am happy. If FSU wins, I am right in pick ’em. Kind of a win-win.

Barnthouse is the only picker to pick the Gamecocks from South Carolina to defeat the Vanderbilt Commodores is this weeks only SEC matchup.
