NFL Rebels: Laquon Treadwell bought out a restaurant for his teammates
By Randy Morgan
NFL rookie Laquon Treadwell bought out an entire restaurant for the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver group.
While Laquon Treadwell’s rookie season was a dud, the star is still making headlines. According to this Reddit post that came from the Minnesota Vikings subreddit, Treadwell bought out an entire restaurant for his teammates.
The restaurant has not been identified from what I have seen, but it is an impressive move from the rookie.
Treadwell is building a relationship with his wide receiver group in the offseason, and this move is a great one for that goal.
ICYMI: Treadwell is ready for a breakout season in 2017
Minnesota fans are hoping to see Treadwell on the field a lot more in 2017. In 2016, he missed most of the season due to an injury.
If Treadwell can develop his route running ability, he could easily become a breakout candidate in 2017. One thing that could really help Treadwell is the recovery of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
Treadwell spent most of the season catching, or attempting to catch, passes from Sam Bradford. Bradford, not a bad quarterback, is not Bridgewater.
If Minnesota decides to start running more of a pro-style passing attack, instead of the spread that they have been running, Treadwell could see some playing time.
Laquon is not a speedy receiver, and that has been shown on the NFL field this season. If the Vikings play to his strengths, Treadwell is looking to breakout.
