Ole Miss baseball and Rebel skipper Mike Bianco got a rude welcome Thursday night, in game-1 of the series in Baton Rouge. #8 LSU wasted no time getting on the board and eventually hammering the Rebels in the15-2 contest.

Ole Miss and LSU have history and especially when it comes to baseball. Of course, Mike Bianco was an outstanding catcher for the Bayou Bengals back in the day. Although, Bianco was having a homecoming of sorts, it didn’t turn out good for Ole Miss baseball.

Ole Miss (21-13, 6-7) came into the contest on a 5-game win-streak which included 2 wins over #16 USM in as many weeks. Of course, #8 LSU (24-11, 8-5) is always tough and almost unbeatable at home in Alex Box Stadium. Thursday night proved to be no different as the #8 LSU Tigers scored 15 runs on 15 hits to take the first game of the series.
