#2 What Will Be The Fate of Coach Freeze?

There is nothing which bothers me more than seeing a good man get dragged thru the mud by people who have no idea what’s going on. These same so-called ‘journalists’ have done nothing except create rumor, innuendo, and ultimately discord among Rebel fans.

Maybe, just maybe, I’m different or come from a different time. Or, maybe I believe in good journalism where you write about truths and are able to name sources. Apparently, many of the journalists who have shared ‘vital’ information within the context of their blogs and podcasts, came from a different school of thought and reason.

However, some people will go to the ends of the earth in order to sell books and t-shirts.

Sure, we all have ‘sources’ and connections within the scope of this NCAA investigation. However, most of us use our literary property to curate sports and bring a positive focus to our team. At that end, I will say this. Right now, we have a great head coach who is still on staff and is supported by a great AD in Ross Bjork and also Chancellor Jeffrey Vitter.

It would be my guess, my own personal opinion, not based on any ‘source’, Hugh Freeze and his job as Ole Miss head coach are safe. Even though there are serious allegations by the NCAA, based on other cases, there is no reason to think Freeze would still be in Oxford at this point if there was any real merit to most of what has been alleged.

For now, Hugh Freeze is our coach and a great coach at that. His success, our success, on the field during his tenure is the only reason why this witch hunt ever began. Like many Rebel fans, I stand with Hugh.
