Just when the NCAA case against Ole Miss football couldn’t get any more bizarre, it has. Now the craziness has meshed into what will certainly go down as one of the biggest rail jobs in NCAA history. The truth is a strange thing.
For Ole Miss football and it’s fans, the past four plus years have been a haunting nightmare. However, in the past week so much has come to light it almost makes the wait all worthwhile. The endless plethora of rumors and ‘fake news’ from State College have been unbearable until now. Now, it’s just beginning to get really good.
It’s amazing what can be uncovered if you dig deep enough. So far, this NCAA investigation has uncovered contradictions in statements, falsifications in testimony to investigators, and impeding of the investigation by MSU. I mean even Rosetroll didn’t see this mess coming! Of course, Monday brought news Rebel Rags was filing a lawsuit against MSU players Leo Lewis, Kobe Jones and Lindsey Miller. Like I said, just when it can’t get any more bizarre.
And, this is just the tip of the iceberg. By now you’ve probably either read or heard enough to know this whole case is going to get really ugly. There will be even more madness coming in the near future. However, there are a few things you may or may not be aware of. There are things which make you question the authority of the NCAA and the SEC Commissioners office.
What Is Sankey’s Role?
Ole Miss Rebels Football
One major piece to the NCAA case is COI Chairman and SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. Although Sankey has officially distanced himself from the entire investigation there is still a major conflict of interest.
Sankey’s unwillingness to interject as SEC Commissioner proves where his allegiances lie. At no point has Commissioner Sankey spoken to the media about the Ole Miss case since late April. That was when Sankey officially recused himself from the Ole Miss investigation.
Of course, if Sankey has indeed recused himself, then who is taking his place and what role do they play in the investigation? Do they have a child enrolled in a university named within the investigation? Sankey apparently did at one time.
Although Commissioner Sankey has ‘removed’ himself from the NCAA investigation, he apparently has also recused himself as commissioner. Who is running the SEC with Sankey in hiding? The best guess would be former Miss State AD Larry Templeton. Templeton’s official title with the SEC is Consultant to the Commissioner.
Where It Gets Shady
Somewhere between what we read in the responses and the rumors which we’ve heard from TSBU, there has been some grey area. This is the area where Ole Miss football fans begin to ask questions. One, what does Templeton’s ‘role’ as Consultant to the SEC Commissioner entail? And two, with MSU coming into play within the NCAA investigation, does that create a conflict? I think so.
Now that there are rumors of Mullen’s involvement within the NCAA investigation. Of course, ED will try to spin it but no matter how you look at it, it’s all dirty pool. To imagine the fate of Ole Miss football hangs in an unfair balance in Birmingham is a dreadful thought. Especially when there are members within the NCAA investigation and the SEC Commissioners Office being manipulated by those with MSU ties.
With the feces storm which is getting ready to break out, MSU doesn’t fare well at all. These are serious issues and according to Rosetroll logic, just throw enough crap against the wall and some of it will stick. Oh yeah, the Mutts are in sheep dip and there are obviously nefarious things which have taken place. How deep has the farce dug within the NCAA and the SEC? Very deep I’m guessing.

I mean given what has just surfaced within the last week I bet the SEC office phone lines are burning up between Starkvegas and B-ham. We are just beginning to see what this NCAA case is going to really produce and Sankey is MIA. MSU is in serious trouble and more will come to light soon. How long before the SEC Commissioners office steps in for them? Oh I expect the Mutt Mafia will come running to the rescue very soon.
