As we get into the dog days of summer, Ole Miss football, administrators and fans are anxiously awaiting the end of a  four year NCAA investigation. However, there is much more to come from this case.

With the advent of social media it is clear that the NCAA can no longer hide their corruption and ineptness. How they conduct their investigations is questionable. Now that lawsuits are being filed by Ole Miss boosters against current rival players, it is very clear. The NCAA investigators took the testimony of two of those players despite the inconsistencies in their stories.

One Ole Miss booster hired his own attorney and private investigator. Through an independent investigation they provided proof that these two players in fact lied to the NCAA.  They have now backed into a corner and the question is who told them to lie?

There are rumors of more law suits coming and one of the two players told the investigator that he was paid $11,000.00 by his current school.

The investigator totally ignored his statement and attempted to bury the info all together.  Why would the investigator do this?  It’s obvious why!

The NCAA investigator has a vendetta against Ole Miss and Hugh Freeze and will do anything to take Ole Miss football down.

In A Nutshell

Now the NCAA is in a pickle.  They simply have to throw out the testimony of the two rival players and if they do, Ole Miss should be penalized pretty much with what they self-imposed.  Many Ole Miss football fans now feel the one year bowl ban is not warranted.  That will be interesting to follow.  Meanwhile we will wait for the penalties to come down sometime this fall.

Ole Miss soon meets with the NCAA committee on infractions defending such violations of a player sleeping on a coach’s couch. Of course, this was while waiting to get into his apartment. At the same time Jim Harbaugh will be taking his Michigan team to Rome where they can sleep on lush beds in a nice hotel.  And according to the NCAA this is not an extra benefit?  Really?  Oh, the hypocrisy of it all!
