Ole Miss football fans are beginning to hear the gears of the rumor mill down south whirl to a fevered pitch. TSBU is beginning to grind away with all the conspiracy theories they can dream up to help console the mutt masses.

Welcome to another edition of Grove Grinder. Ole Miss football fans have been listening to the rumor mill from Stakvegas for years. During this entire NCAA fiasco, from it’s very onset until now, we’ve endured the rumor, innuendo and now outright lies. Yes lies and deception got us to where we are now within this NCAA case.

Oh yes, to hear the TSBU is tell it, they’ve never done anything wrong in any of this. However, a former coach’s official response clearly states Student Athlete No.39 admitted to actually soliciting cash and other incentives from ‘multiple’ schools. Now why in the world would he end up in Starkville of all places? To play football of all things? Especially when he had been committed to Bama and Ole Miss. I think we all know the answer. Come on NCAA this ain’t rocket science.

Of course, while we are on the subject of rumors let’s talk about a couple. Apparently even more lawsuits will be coming out in relationship to the NCAA investigation.

Also it seems as though the NCAA has granted SA-39 and SA-40 the right to legal counsel. This is very convenient for two student-athletes who either knowingly solicited cash and incentives or either lied to investigators. It had to be one or the other. Maybe it was both?

In Other News

Ole Hotty Toddy has officially put out an APB for SEC commissioner Greg Sankey. It’s now been over two weeks and he has been absent from the media. Nothing.

Of course, all request to the SEC Commissioners office for an official statement have been denied. Apparently Sankey and his NCAA/MSU cronies haven’t found a simple way out of this mess just yet.

However, in the coming days and weeks there will be more people dragged into this NCAA/MSU vs Ole Miss rail-job. As the pressure builds on the MSU football program the mutt mafia will expect Sankey and Templeton to step in. Everybody knows they both have deep ties to MSU.

Everybody also knows that’s the way the ‘good ole boy’ business works and Sankey and Templeton can’t hide forever. Maybe they’ll come out to play at SEC Media Days which is being held July 10-13. By that time Sankey and his NCAA/MSU buddies will have all this investigation stuff figured out.
