Ole Miss football fans can’t be certain of much with the rumors swirling from TSBU. However, the one thing you can be very sure of, Grove Grinder will be here to bring you the latest.

Welcome to another edition of Grove Grinder Ole Miss football fans! First, let me begin by announcing something big coming out within days from OHT. I know with everything going on there is a lot of false information. This you can count on and Rebel nation will love it. It’s going to be fun stuff.

We’ve had a super busy week and it still isn’t over. Of course, we released my season predictions for Ole Miss football for this season. We also released my hard picks for SEC ‘dark horses’ for this upcoming season. There is a surprise in there for all of us.

If you get a chance to grab a copy of Rebel Nation Magazine you can check out OHT Senior Contributor K.L. Williams predictions. K.L. is now also contributing for them and always delivers great material. K.L. and I both have the Rebels going 9-3 however we disagree on a few points. See what you think and let us know on Facebook and twitter.

Mark it on your calendar! SEC Media Days is coming up in less than two weeks. I know OHT is super excited about it and I’m sure we can expect some fireworks. OHT will have more on the upcoming SEC Media Days. This brings us to this week’s ongoing saga.

Where’s Sankey?

Well another week has rolled by and still no word from the SEC Commissioners office in Birmingham. Time is running out for Sankey or his ‘consultant’ to address the NCAA case against Ole Miss before the upcoming SEC Media Days.

I believe it’s safe for Ole Miss football to assume Commissioner Sankey isn’t going to come out on behalf of the University of Mississippi. It’s either the fact he chairs the NCAA Committee On Infractions or the fact his has deep ties to another school named multiple times in the official responses to the NOA.

It’s no big secret Sankey had a family member attending MSU during the NCAA investigation of several Ole Miss sports programs. Also former MSU AD Larry Templeton is ‘consultant’ to the SEC Commissioner. Yes, he has an official position as consultant. Convenient don’t you think?

At this point, the question shouldn’t be whether or not Sankey will come to the defense of Ole Miss. The question should be why not? There is an obvious conflict of interest in the SEC offices in B-ham. If Sankey isn’t going to step up and be a real commissioner then he should step down. Hopefully instead of drafting an opening statement for SEC Media Days, he’s drafting his formal resignation .

Rebsession

I know we all have to deal with obsessive-compulsive behavior at some point. Either we have been guilty of it ourselves or we’ve been effected by others obsessive behavior. Of course, there is also something which many Ole Miss fans can recognize called ‘Rebsession’.

In today’s technological age we see it a lot on social media. In an effort to one up somebody they forget they are being Rebsessive. They can’t refrain from commenting or posting even after they know they are being Rebsessive. They have a total loss of self-control. I know you’ve seen it. They have been coming out of the woodwork since the beginning of the NCAA investigation.

Thankfully, there are symptoms which clearly point to the extreme illness. Social stupor, drooling, heavy panting, public bathing and a false sense of grandiose will be noted. Being in the presence of a Rebsessive personality is known to produce the overwhelming desire to point and laugh uncontrollably. Although, there are no known cures it’s not contagious. There is no known drugs which will relieve symptoms  however just saying the words ‘drug test’ have recently been known to help.
