2. Jacksonville State

The 2011 season opener will forever haunt Ole Miss fans, thank you Houston Dale Nutt.  In all honesty, that entire season was forgettable at best.

The most embarrassing part of this loss is that it was not the worst loss of the season.  Jacksonville State doesn’t even make the top three to be quite honest. The top three are homecoming vs La Tech, the mercy kneel downs at the 5 by LSU with five minutes left, and the Egg Bowl.  Somehow these embarrassing take us to the shed moments tower over the one point loss in 2OT.

So, if JSU was not the worst loss then why do they make this list? The answer is fairly simple. They are a FCS powerhouse, who recently almost defeated Auburn as well.  FCS powerhouses and early season games are a very dangerous experiment.

Ole Miss has this knack for doing things the hard way already, so lets not add to the misfortune by willingly entering the lions den.
