The Ole Miss football coaching staff has seen a few new faces around in recent months. We want you to know your receivers coach Jacob Peeler.

There are some Ole Miss football fans who may be adjusting to all the new faces the Rebels have on the field. Sure, there are new faces every season. However, seldom are there this many new faces on a coaching staff in one season. One of those new faces is wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler.

Of course, Jacob Peeler was originally hired by former coach Hugh Freeze and will stay on staff under interim head coach Matt Luke. This is one of the most exciting new hires on staff. Coach Peeler will have a stable of very talented receivers to work with. This Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver corp could very well be the best group of receivers in the SEC.

Although coach Peeler may seem young he has quickly moved thru the collegiate ranks. Peeler has the resume which draws attention. The Kosciusko, Mississippi native played football at Louisiana Tech and later worked there as a graduate assistant.

Peeler also spent time coaching at Itawamba Community College and Independence Community College in Kansas. However, it was his last coaching job which really speaks volumes about Jacob Peeler and his coaching ability.

While coaching receivers at Cal, Peeler built a very impressive resume. In his four seasons at Cal coaching inside receivers, Peeler was outstanding as both a coach and recruiter.

According to OleMissSports.com, Peeler was responsible for one of the greatest wide receiving corps in the Pac12.

"Cal set or equaled nine single-season school or modern-era records on the offense side of the ball in 2014 while Peeler was working with the inside receivers as a graduate assistant, all of which were broken in 2015. Cal ranked in the top 25 nationally in a total of seven offensive categories in 2014, including passing offense (6th, 346.0 ypg), scoring offense (10th, 38.3 ppg), and total offense (13th, 495.2 ypg). ~OleMissSports.com"
