Offensive Line

LT: Former 5 star Greg Little will man the blind side for Shea Patterson. He has NFL talent, although not quite on par with where Laremy Tunsil was as a sophomore. There are 4 swing lineman that can play almost anywhere on the line if someone goes down. Therefore predicting the next man up at left tackle serves somewhat tricky. If I had to say, it would be Royce Newman. A source has gone as far as saying that if Greg Little weren’t at Ole Miss this season, Royce wouldn’t have a problem filling in for him, and there wouldn’t be much of a drop off.

LG: Javon Patterson has this position locked up and has had it locked up since he stepped on campus. Hes an All Conference type of player and will most definitely be playing on Sundays in the near future. His back up will be a combination of Rod Taylor, Daronte Bouldin, or Jack Defoor, depending on the situation.

C: Sean Rawlings will be calling the shots in the middle of the trenches this year. He has experience filling in for Robert Conyers over the years and can get the job done. He is also a very serviceable tackle if called upon. Rod Taylor, Javon Patterson, and Eli Johnson have all worked behind Rawlings at center.

RG: This would be the only position I would say there is a battle going on for. Last years starter Jordan Sims is back, but senior Daronte Bouldin has really come on this spring and fall and has pushed for playing time this coming up year. Bouldin has been lauded as being the strongest man on the team, and it looks like things are finally falling into place for the Canton, MS native.

RT: Rod Taylor draws the start at RT. However he will be getting help from 6 foot 6 inch Alex Givens. Alex Givens is the only returning tackle in the SEC to not have allowed a sack last year. Pretty high praise for a 3 star tackle out of Tennessee. Rod Taylor will split time with Givens most likely.
