After every season opener there will always be those few things which really pop out. In game one of the 2017 Ole Miss football season there were a few things which popped out to me.

With every season opener there are going to be things which jump out. As I sat there and watched a very adept Ole Miss offense dismantle South Alabama there were a few things which popped out. After going back over the game there are three things which really struck me.

OK, so I’ve stepped out there as a Shea Patterson fan way before now. It’s no big secret, I admit it. Of course, Saturday Shea was lights out with his performance against USA. Shea went 28 of 35 for 429 yards and threw for 4 TDs. We knew what to expect from Shea and this potent offense and he delivered.

Shea’s performance didn’t really surprise me at all. However, there was a facet of his game which stuck out in my mind.
