It’s Not As Bad As You Think

I know it looked like a train wreck however it went pretty well. Considering starting FG kicker Gary Wunderlich and punt returner AJ Brown both went down early in the contest there were no major calamities. Van Jefferson stepped in and covered punts and enter Luke Logan as FG kicker.

Ok as a long-snapper and the dad of a high-school kicker, I can remember that first kick. Logan is where is he is because he is good. He will have another chance soon enough and the pressure of that first collegiate FG will be in the past. He’ll be fine.

Jaylon Jones handled his duties well and almost had some breakaway runs. As for the defensive side of the FG, there was a really bad call for leaping. It was one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen for it. However, Ole Miss special teams did force two missed FGs in the contest. They’ll be much better with two weeks left for Bama.
